Bonita C. “Bonnie” Clark, 87, of Vassar, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018. Family will meet with friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Private family graveside service to be held later at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Bonnie was born February 23, 1931, in Du Bois, Nebraska, the daughter of Arthur Sr. and Alta (Britt) Moser. She grew up in Nebraska moving in 1955 to Kansas. In 1962, Bonnie moved to California and back to Kansas in 1968. She moved in 1970 to the Ottawa area. Bonnie was united in marriage to Willis Henry Clark February 26, 1947 in Seneca, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Arthur, Robert and John Moser; and grandson, Nason Hobelman. Survivors include children, Sandra Scarlett and husband John of Wellsville, Michael Clark of Ottawa, Mark Clark and wife Sheryl of Osawatomie, Dee Ann Hobelman of Auburn, Kay Regan and husband Rob of Ottawa, and Nancy Chase and husband Doug of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; sisters, Loretta Porter of Salem, Nebraska and Shirley Dietrich of Du Bois, Nebraska; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter. She was a devoted homemaker and was employed at Bendix-King as an assembler from 1977 until retiring in 1990. She was active member at Vassar United Methodist Church and Helping Hands in Lyndon. Bonnie loved to fish and enjoyed going to auctions. Her greatest joy was spending time with her two dogs, grandchildren and going to casinos with friends. Bonnie’s spunky spirit will be missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank all those in Vassar that helped mom stay in her home as long as she did.
