Bobby Earl Ruyle

Bobby Earl Ruyle was born on Tuesday, May 19, 1936, in Spiro, Oklahoma. He was the son of Earl and Lillie (Holt) Ruyle. In 1976, Bobby moved from Edmond, Oklahoma to Williamsburg, Kansas, where he made his home until his death on Friday, November 21, 2008, at the age of seventy-two years. He was an electrician employed at Skyhook in Ottawa for twenty-eight years, retiring in 2003. Bobby served in the United States Army from March of 1955 to January of 1957, serving in the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who looked forward to all their family gatherings. He enjoyed watching baseball, traveling, fishing, reading and watching westerns. He will be remembered as a warm loving man with a big heart who would go out of his way to help people. On December 12, 1960, Bobby was united in marriage with Barbara Sipe in Bakersfield, California. She survives of their home. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Charlie Adamson of Ottawa, Kansas; two sisters, Laura Baxter of Weldon, California, Wilma Poteet of Bakersfield, California; mother-in-law, Marvel Sipe of Ottawa, Kansas; two granddaughters, Kristi Adamson, Sammy Adamson, both of Ottawa, Kansas; grandson, Freddie Adamson of Ottawa, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ruyle is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Charles Baker and A. L. Baker. SERVICES: Graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2008. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Ruyle at the Dengel Son Mortuary after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to O.H.S. Baseball, c/o Dengel Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
