Billie Rae Evans was born on Monday, March 20, 1967, in Topeka, Kansas. She was the daughter of Trinidad Ybarra and Iris (Endicott) Ybarra. A lifelong resident, Billie made her home in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas, until her death on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at the age of forty-one years. Billie attended Ottawa High School. She was a homemaker. Billie was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and attended Cherry Street Wesleyan Church, both of Ottawa. Billie was a talented musician and loved playing the piano. She enjoyed playing pool and was known for winning many tournaments. She was also an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing delicious Mexican meals for her family and their Holiday gatherings. On October 15, 1988, Billie was united in marriage with Clarence Evans in Ottawa, Kansas. He survives. She is also survived by two sons, Daniel Evans of Canon City, Colorado, Joshua Evans of Lane, Kansas; daughter, Marissa (Evans) Neal of Kansas City, Missouri; and three brothers, Richard Ybarra of Ottawa, Kansas, Ralph Ybarra of Lawrence, Kansas, Trini Ybarra Brown of Lawrence, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gregory Ybarra; and sister, Tammy Burns. SERVICES: Graveside inurnment services will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008. Family will meet with friends at Dengel Son Mortuary from 9 a.m. and process to the cemetery at service time.
