Billie J. Harshaw Langley

Billie Jean Harshaw Langley, 89, of Ottawa, Kansas, was united with her Savior on Monday, February 29, 2016, at Vintage Park of Ottawa, Kansas. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 6:30 pm with family and friends in Ottawa, Kansas. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 4, 2016, at Rusk County Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Texas, with Minister Tyler Sams officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson. Billie was born December 8, 1926, in Haynesville, Louisiana, the daughter of Byron and Emma (Dunlap) McCarty. Billie was united in marriage with Estle Corky Harshaw October 8, 1945. They enjoyed many years together at their home in Henderson, Texas. He preceded her in death. Later, Billie was united in marriage with Herbert R. Langley, where they shared their home in Longview, Texas. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Estle Harshaw December 25, 1981, her brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Mary McCarty. Survivors include her son, Bobby Fenton Harshaw and wife Karen, daughter-in-law, Jo D. Harshaw, and sister, Frances (Ruth) Looper. Grandchildren, Kishawn Ferguson and husband Bryan, Aaron Harshaw and wife Sheri, and Eric Harshaw. Great grandchildren, Kord and Brynn Ferguson, Austin, Spencer, Bobby and Emma Harshaw. Step children, Rodney Langley and wife Gayle, and Sonja Lau and their children Shannon, Dustin, Tiffany, Nicholas, Noah, Peyton and several nieces and nephews. Billie was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She was a member and faithfully attended Judson Road Church in Longview, Texas. Billie enjoyed golf and playing cards with friends. A lifelong resident of Texas, Billie enjoyed dear friends and family through the years. Billie made her home in Ottawa until her death, spending time with family and friends at Vintage Park.
