We are saddened to announce the passing of Beverly Ann McEvers, age 76, of Overland Park, KS on March 24, 2024. Surrounded by her loved ones, Beverly passed away from complications following a stroke she suffered on October 25, 2023.
Beverly was born December 25, 1947, in Hannibal, MO and moved to Kansas City, KS in the early 1960’s where she met her future husband, Larry McEvers. They married December 10, 1965, a few months after her graduation from Wyandotte High School. She then moved to the Shawnee Mission area where she lived most of her adult life and worked at GE in the Accounts Receivable Department. Her strong work ethic and dedication earned her several awards, including cruise vacations, for being top performer in her field. She maintained that status until her retirement at the age of 70. Beverly enjoyed collecting antiques, especially children’s toys, dolls, and her beloved Norman Rockwell figurines. And, oh how she loved her Home Shopping Network! Later in life, she developed a strong conviction for love of her country and partaking in politics. She was a proud American!
Throughout her lifetime, Beverly demonstrated a fierce and unconditional love and devotion to her family, including her seven siblings, her mama and a daddy who was larger than life, and all of her nieces and nephews who called her Aunt Bevie. She was our biggest champion and most faithful prayer warrior. The joy of her life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was her entire world!
Beverly was preceded in death by her father Ralph Jackson, mother Frances Jackson, brothers Mark Jackson and Kevin Jackson, sister Marty Taulbert, brothers-in-law Wayne Taulbert and David Jay, nephew Danny Jackson, and niece Tammy Renzenberger.
She is survived by a brother Terry Jackson (Karen), sisters Carolyn Jay (widowed), Debra Schlobohm (Wes), Becky Harper (Mike) , two children Kimberly Ramsey (Matt), Matthew McEvers (Jessica), seven grandchildren – Spencer, Madison, Micah, Colby, Toby, Mason, Kamden, seven great grandchildren – Paislee, Elaina, Maverick, Lucas, Evan, Bria, Amelia, and fifteen nieces and nephews of whom was also very proud. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
