Betty Marie Spindle

Betty Marie Spindle, age 91, of Sugar Land, TX, passed away on Monday February 25, 2019. She was born May 7, 1927 to Roy Slyter and Marie E. Bone Slyter of Osawatomie, KS. She graduated from Paola High School in 1945. Betty married her high school sweetheart Fred Spindle, Jr. in 1947. Fred and Betty had two children; Teresa Huntington of Springdale, AR and Mike Spindle of Houston, TX. They lived in many different places throughout their marriage due to Fred's position with Marathon Oil. They were also able to travel to several different countries. Betty has lived in Sugar Land, TX for the past 37 years. She enjoyed playing bridge and visiting with family and friends. Betty was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. Her hair and makeup were always on point! She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sister Louise Gallion of Kansas City, MO, her daughter, son, 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Dengel and Son Mortuary in Paola, KS.
