Betty Lou Moser

Betty Lou Downs Moser, 78, wife of Daniel Kenneth Moser for 18 years, passed away on June 13, 2015 at the Olathe Hospice House surrounded by family. Betty was born in Paola, Kansas in 1937 and is the daughter of George and Ava Downs. She graduated from Paola High School in 1955 and in June of that year, she married John Tiedemann. Together they had a son Brad Tiedemann, of Paola and a daughter Terri Erb, Clinton, MO. In 1972, she married Walter Reynolds. In 1997, she married Daniel (Kenny) Moser. Betty is survived by her husband Daniel, her son Brad (Carol) Tiedemann, daughter Terri Erb, step-children Linda (Robert) Fix, Walter (Debbie) Reynolds, Craig (Phyllis) Reynolds, Kathryn (Steve) Puvogel, Randy (Hilda) Moser,Debbie (Pat) Quirk, Greg (Elena) Lawson, sisters JoAnn Curran and Virginia Jones, 22 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. In 1970, she moved from Olathe to accept the position of Food Service Director for the Paola School District. She retired in 1996 after 26 years of service. After retiring she volunteered at the Hospital in the gift shop and delivered meals on wheels for over five years. She loved spending time with her family and especially loved going fishing with her son Brad. She loved to help others and enjoyed baking delicious treats for everyone. We all remember her cookies, cinnamon rolls, marble bars and the Texas Sheet Cakes! Hobbies included: Bunko, Friday night Dominoes and Pool therapy. She was very devoted to her faith and she loved The Lord. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Betty's name to Cross Point Food Pantry, 1016 N. Pearl Steet Paola, KS.
