Mrs. Meyer lived most of her life at Rantoul, Kansas. She resided at Blue Mound for five years and Richmond for five years before moving to the Richter Kansas Community where she has lived since 1994. Betty Jean was a supermarket clerk, a professional cook and a life long homemaker. She was employed by Cheney Market in the 1950`s, Grangers Hill House in the 1960`s and Hood`s Dairy Treat in the 1970`s, all of Ottawa. She was a member of the Community Four Square Church, Ottawa, Kansas. In 1940 Betty Jean was united in marriage with Robert Hubbard at Mound City, Kansas. He preceded her in death in June of 1972. On February 3, 1974 Betty Jean was united in marriage with Don Meyer at Lawrence, Kansas. He Survives of their home. SERVICES: Family and friends will meet at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas, for graveside services, 10:00 Monday, January 3, 2005. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Clyde Greisen IN STATE: Mrs. Meyer will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 PM Sunday to the service hour. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
