Betty Jean Chandler, age 71, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Monday, November 11, 2002, at her residence . She was the daughter of the late Henry Moore and the late Minnie (Sawyer) Moore. She has lived in Ottawa since the early 1980`s. She previously lived in Lyndon five years, Fort Smith, Arkansas, and the Topeka area. B. J. graduated from High School. She was Assistant Director at ECKAN, Inc., in Ottawa, in the 1990`s. In the 1970`s and 1980`s, she was Activities Director at a nursing home in Lyndon. She was a long time and current member of Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ottawa. In 1948, B. J. was united in marriage with Carrel Bean. They later divorced. She is survived by her: Son-Mike Bean of Burlingame, Kan., Daughter-Kathy Bowling of Ottawa, Kan., Daughter-Leann Sullivan of Woodlands, Texas, Brother-James Moore of Overbrook, Kan., Ten Grandchildren, Three Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by:Father-Henry Kellem Moore, Mother-Minnie Mary (Sawyer) Moore, Daughter-Karrel Kay Wood. SERVICES: Graveside inurnment services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2002, at Princeton Cemetery. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Clyde Greisen. IN STATE: Mrs. Chandler has been cremated.
