Betty J. Cearfoss-Bauer, 82, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Highland Cemetery. Betty was born Monday, March 25, 1935 in Ottawa, the daughter of Sadie (Franks) and Charles Jones. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident. She graduated from Ottawa High School. Betty married Quentin Roberts in 1951. They later divorced. She married Alden “Ike” Cearfoss in the 1970s. He preceded her in death in 1986. Betty was united in marriage to Rex Bauer March 27, 1987 in Ottawa. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her three children, Cindy Bones and husband Keith of Edgerton, Craig Roberts and wife Connie of Overland Park, and Chris Roberts and wife Kim of Spring Hill; three stepsons, Stacey Bauer and wife Kat of Ogallala, Nebraska, Kevin Bauer and wife Diane of New York, and Kim Bauer and wife Kimmie of Shawnee Mission; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mondell Jacobs and Goldie Kinsley; and brother, Richard Jones. Betty was employed as a sales agent with Miller-Lee & Associates for thirty years. She was a member of the North Baptist Church. Betty loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and making her morning phone calls to her girlfriends. She enjoyed sewing and making clothing for her family.
