Betty Cramer

Betty Sue Bays Cramer, age 88, of Paola, Kansas passed away December 31, 2014 at Olathe Medical Center. Betty was born on September 16, 1926 to Taylor and Edna Bays. Betty attended Macedonia School and graduated from La Cygne High School. After graduation, Betty went to work at Miami County Courthouse. Later Betty worked at Asher Pharmacy for 29 years retiring in 1991. In her junior year, she met Herbert Lynn Cramer from Paola, Kansas. They married on December 2, 1945. After Lynn and Betty were both retired, they both delivered Meals on Wheels to Senior Citizens. They also enjoyed many years of traveling together to California and Canada, and went to many shows in Branson and Dollywood Park in Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Kipper and Shirley Zellmer; and son-in-law Johnnie Ruckman, Jr. She is survived by her husband Lynn of the home; daughters Betty Lynn Ruckman, Kathy Jane (Craig) McCullough and Nancy Jo (Ted) Flagg; grandchildren Kenton Ruckman, Lisa Lynn (Derrick) Abro, Ross McCullough, and Brody (Ali) McCullough; and great grandchildren Mercy Abro and McKenzie Abro. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paola Senior Center or United Methodist Church Women.
