Beth Ann Knedlik

Beth Ann (Burt) Knedlik, 62, of Paola, KS, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. Beth was born March 28, 1952, in Belleville, KS, the daughter of Edwin and Marilyn (Burton) Burt, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Washington High School in Washington, KS, and Crum's Beauty College in Manhattan, KS. Beth married the love of her life Gregory Knedlik on July 8, 1972, and they farmed for several years near Greenleaf, KS. She was a loving wife and wonderful mother and so proud of their three children. Later, she worked as a dental assistant in Washington, KS, before moving to Paola, KS, where she found her perfect job at Simply You Salon and Boutique. Beth loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her energetic attitude was contagious and she loved being with her family and friends. She loved to host and entertain. In addition to traveling, attending K-State and Kansas City sporting events and dressing with the latest bling, Beth loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiled them at every opportunity. Beth is survived by her husband, Greg; their children, Heather (husband, David) Meyer of Olathe, KS, Amy (husband, Akinaw Bulcha) Knedlik of Calabasas, CA, and Clint (wife, Kate) Knedlik of Salina, KS; their grandchildren, Reagan Kendall, Olivia Meyer, Sophia Meyer, Carter Kendall and Chase Meyer; her sister Joan (husband, Jim) Brabec of Greenleaf, KS; her brother Todd (wife, Laurie) Burt of Washington, KS; her sister-in-law Sue (husband, Lee) Pifer of Washington, KS; and a multitude of other relatives and close friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, KS 66071 for memorials in her honor at her grandchildren's schools.
