Berniece Dickey

Berniece R. Dickey, age 91 of Paola, passed away October 2nd at her home in Paola. "Toots," as she was known, was born July 22, 1920 in Paola Kansas to David Scott Lentz and Beulah Lentz, whose maiden name was Rohrer. She went to school at the school house in Wagstaff and graduated from Paola High School. On September 1st 1941 she and Bruce L. Dickey were married in Wagstaff KS. For most of their married life they resided in Paola and Lenexa. She held secretary positions at the Miami County Courthouse and Shawnee Mission school district. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. She enjoyed entertaining company and attending social events. She was an outstanding cook and always kept a beautiful home with a fun atmosphere. Berniece is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers JM, DS & WC Lentz. Berniece is survived by her husband Bruce, her daughter Judy Fleeman & husband Tom, her son Scott Dickey & Sandie, 3 grandchildren Kyle, Alix & Cody, and 3 great grandchildren Alexis, Parker & Zane.
