Bernice Floreen Chitwood

Bernice Floreen Chitwood age 84 of Paola, passed away December 1 to be with her Lord and Savior.

Bernice was born on August 20, 1939 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Addison Dunlap McCune and Angie Bernice Titus McCune. She grew up in Leavenworth County where her parents were farmers.

On July 16th, 1960 she was united in marriage to Glenn Chitwood in Ottawa, Kansas. They lived a life of love and fellowship with the Lord. To this marriage a son William Glenn was born.

She loved cake decorating, collecting dolls, and attending Bible Study and was a member of  the Antioch Baptist Church. Bernice was employed for 31 years at the Taylor Forge Engineered Systems in Paola before retirement.

Bernice is survived by her husband of the home and son William Glenn , sister Phyllis from Florida and nieces and nephews, Carol, Deb. Dwayne McCune and his wife Kay, Robin, Heather, Matthew, John, and Nicholas.

Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home.

Visitation will be on December 7th from 9 to 10 am with services following at 10 am, burial at the Lane Cemetery.
