Barbara Louise Downey

Barbara Louise Downey, age 81, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Rock Creek of Ottawa.

Private family services will be held.

Barbara was born on July 4, 1942, in Ottawa, Kansas. She was the oldest of eight children to Fred and Mae (Pearson) Moore.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mae Moore, brother, William “Bill” Moore, and nephew Clay Moore.

She is survived by her son, Rodney (Wendy) Downey, 2 grandchildren, Jake (Lauren) Downey and Gunnar (Carly) Downey, 2 great grandchildren, Weston and Adalyn Downey, siblings, Shirley James, Dorothy Ubelaker, Mike (Angie) Moore, Pat Moore, Phil (Donna) Moore, and Clancy (Becky) Moore, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
