Barbara Jean Parr

Barbara Jean Parr, 64, of Wichita, KS passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born July 9, 1952 in Paola, KS to parents Emma Minden and Clarence Ohlmeier. She was a twin sister to Betty Ohlmeier and was one of seven siblings. She was married to Terry Parr January 1, 1971. She was a loving wife, caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed family get togethers, spending time with grandkids, grand-dogs, neighbors and everyone gathering together, especially playing cards. She was a master gardener and enjoyed volunteering her time offering gardening tips and enjoyed spending time in her garden. She always wanted others to be happy. She is preceded in death by father Clarence Ohlmeier , sister Reva Ohlmeier, sister Ann Minden, mother Emma Ohlmeier, and sister Lois Ohlmeier. Survivors include her husband Terry Parr of Wichita, KS, son Shane Parr (Cindy) of Shawnee, KS, son Brett Parr (Christine) of St. Louis, MO, daughter Stefanie Parr of Shawnee, KS, brother Ralph Ohlmeier (Dorla) of Centennial, CO, brother Wayne Ohlmeier of Overland Park, KS, sister Betty Ohlmeier of Olathe, KS, five grandchildren Caleb, Tara, Landon, Jack and Emily.
