Barbara Fennewald Payne

Barbara Lynn Payne, 70, of Olathe, passed away on October 19, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 10, 1953 to Carl and Alberta (Nichols) Fennewald in Zionsville, IN. She graduated from Paola High School in 1971 as a class officer.

Barbara worked for several banks in the mortgage department for over thirty years. Prior to working in the banks, she was a beautician. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her husband, was an avid reader, collecting Precious Moments, doing cross stitch and puzzles. She and her husband also enjoyed going on cruises.

On May 1, 2004 she married Bill Payne. Barbara and Bill lived in Olathe, Kansas.

She was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and perpetual adoration.

Barbara is survived by her loving Husband, Bill, Mother, Alberta Louise Fennewald, Brother, Rex Fennewald, Brother, Max Fennewald, Son, Christopher Riebe and Granddaughter Adelyn Riebe.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Carl L. Fennewald, Sister, Cindy Fennewald, Brother Alan Fennewald.
