Barbara Ann Williams, 61, of Wellsville, Kansas, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas, 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Family and friends will meet at Dengel & Son Mortuary from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, March 3, 2014 for visitation. Interment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. Barbara was born on December 15, 1952 in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Tom and Doris (Walters) Arnold. Barbara has been a resident of Wellsville, Kansas since 2005 moving there from Lawrence where she had lived since 1983. She has also lived in Princeton from1970 to 1973; Ottawa 1973 to 1980; Wichita and Andover 1980 to 1983. She graduated from Central Heights High School with the class of 1970. She attended Princeton Jr. High and Rantoul Grade School. Barbara was employed for 29 years as a custodial supervisor for the University of Kansas retiring in 2012. Prior to her employment with K.U. she held many positions, including, selling fireworks, working at Kentucky Fried Chicken and King Radio both of Ottawa, Taco Via of Lawrence, and Tobin Construction of Kansas City, Missouri all during the 1970’s. She is survived by her longtime partner, Jimmy Grafe, of the home in Wellsville. Also surviving is her daughter Tracy Waage and her husband Clark of Eudora, Kansas; two sisters, Virginia Welch of Ottawa, Linda Foltz and her husband Rex of Rolla, Missouri; two brothers, Bob Arnold and his wife Louise of Edgerton, Kansas, Eddie Arnold and his wife Sandy of Imperia, Missouri; three grandchildren, Hayley Bagwell, Zachery Bagwell and Shelby Waage all of Eudora.
