Barbara Ann Evans

Barbara Ann Evans, 60, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at her home.

Cremation is planned with a Celebration of Life to be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Centropolis Christian Church.

Barb was born Monday, May 21, 1962, in Lincoln, Kansas, the daughter of Keith and Rose (Ahlquist) Roush.

She lived in Russell, Kansas since the early 1980’s, moving to the Ottawa area in 1996.

Barb graduated from Wilson Kansas High School with the class of 1980.

She was united in marriage to Dave Evans August 23, 1980, in Luray, Kansas. He survives of the home.

Barb was employed by Lomar Bowling Supply in Russell, Kansas from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s. She continued her career with Citizens State Bank, Pomona, Kansas until the early 2000s as a bank teller. Barb also worked as a bank teller for Arvest Bank from 2003 until 2012.

She attended the Centropolis Christian Church and was a former member of the Richter United Methodist Church. Barb enjoyed camping, horseback riding, and fishing. She loved getting pedicures and margaritas with her girlfriends, but especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and family gatherings.

Barb was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include husband, Dave; mother, Rose Roush of Wilson, Kansas; son, Rocky Evans (Tiffany) of Ottawa, Kansas; daughter, Michele Snodgrass (Sheldon) of Mayetta, Kansas; brother, Robert Roush (Carol) of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister, Beverly Vopat (Valan) of Ellsworth, Kansas; and three grandchildren, Dalton Evans, Sophie Evans, and Rylie Snodgrass.
