Arthur Vernon 'Art' Grey, 81, of Ottawa, Kansas died on Tuesday, November 11, 2008. He was born on Thursday, November 25, 1926, in Agricola, Kansas. He was the son of Arthur Elmer and Roxy Anna (Fletcher) Grey. He was a lifelong Franklin County, Kansas resident. He was employed by Parmalee Industries; Creason Tawney; and Stinett Chevrolet. Arthur served in the United States Navy during World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War. He served aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk. He was a member of Town & Country Church of Christ in Ottawa. On September 3, 1971, Arthur was united in marriage with Marjorie A. (Keim) Welton. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2008. Survivors include: Stepdaughter-Judy Curran & her husband, Frank, of Ottawa, Kan. Stepdaughter-Lois Marie Lambert & her husband, Harvey, of Tampa, Fla. Stepdaughter-Beverly Weber of Princeton, Kan. Stepson-Roy Willis Welton & his wife, Reita, of Independence, Kan. Grandchildren-Ten Gt. Grandchildren-Thirty-two Gt.Gt. Grandchildren-four He was preceded in death by: Father-Arthur Elmer Grey Mother-Roxy Anna (Fletcher) Grey Wife-Marjorie Grey Brother-Alvin Grey Brother-Floyd Grey Brother-Alfred Grey Granddaughter-Marie Husted SERVICES: Family will meet with friends at Dengel & Son Mortuary from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2008.
