Ashton Lee Kirkland

Ashton Lee Kirkland was born Friday, August 6, 2004, at Lawrence, Kansas. He was the infant son of Michael Kirkland and Erika Hess, of Pomona, Kansas. Ashton died on Friday evening, August 6, 2004, at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Surviving, besides his parents, are his grandparents, Retta and Keith Pence of Pomona, Kansas, Mark and Jean Hess, of Albany, Oregon, Christina Kirkland, of Rantoul, Kansas, Johnnie and Danielle Kirkland, of Cambridge, Minnesota; two aunts, Heather Hess of Pomona, Kansas, Abby Kirkland of Cambridge, Minnesota; and four uncles, Johnnie Ray Kirkland of Rantoul, Kansas, and Danny, Anthony, and Leo Kirkland, all of Cambridge, Minnesota.
