Annetta "Margie" Nelson age 99, of Louisburg Kansas, passed away Saturday November 13, 2010 at her home. Memorial contributions to AGAPE Center of Louisburg. Margie was born May 11, 1911 in Louisburg, Kansas to Jessie James and Lottie McNutt McCoy. She was raised in Louisburg and attended the Louisburg High School completing the 10th grade. On Oct. 11, 1928 she was united in marriage to Walter Allen Nelson in Louisburg Kansas. During WWII she was employed at the Pratt Whitney Manufacturing Plant working on aircrafts. Margie also later was a cook at local restaurants, besides being a mother and homemaker. Her hobbies were sewing, cooking, gardening, where she seemed to have a green thumb. She also enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and was a lifelong Democrat and really liked President Roosevelt. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, 5 sisters, and 3 grandchildren. Survivors are her son Roger Nelson of Louisburg, KS;daughter, Carol Price of Ottawa, KS;daughter, Jacqueline Thomas of Louisburg, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
