Anna Olivia Hader was born on Monday, February 10, 1930, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of James Farris and Emelia J. (Schulz) Marshall. Anna lived in Kansas City over forty years, moving to Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas ten years ago, where she made her home until her death on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at the age of seventy-seven years. Anna graduated from Higginsville High School with the class of 1948. For two years, she attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri, where she studied music and business, and was a charter member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service ten years and for the United States Department of Agriculture ten years, both in Kansas City, Missouri, retiring in 1989. She was a long time member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, where she was a member of the Women's Circle and choir, serving as secretary. She attended First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. Anna was a devoted mother and grandmother who greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved music, especially classical. Playing, singing or just listening to music were her favorite things. On November 6, 1953, Anna was united in marriage with Donald Eugene Hader in Higginsville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1998. She is also preceded in death by her parents. Anna is survived by two daughters, Laura Stringer of Ottawa, Kansas, Dr. Janet Hader Keating of Durham, North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Robert Ormiston of Nashville, Indiana; and three grandchildren, Rose Olivia Keating of Durham, North Carolina, Ryan Stringer of Lawrence, Kansas, Mark Stringer of Ottawa, Kansas. Survivors include two daughters, Laura Stringer, Ottawa, and Dr. Janet Hader Keating, Durham, N.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Robert Ormiston, Nashville, Ind.; and three grandchildren, Rose Olivia Keating, Durham, N.C.; Ryan Stringer, Lawrence; and Mark Stringer, Ottawa. SERVICES: Celebration of Life services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Family will receive friends following the service. CEMETERY: Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2007, at Brand Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.
