Anna Lucille Lauber, 59, of Parker, Kansas, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020, at her home. She was born Thursday, December 29, 1960, in Iola, KS, the daughter of Kyle and Betty (Logan) Shafer in Goodrich, Kansas. Anna made her home in Parker, Kansas. She started working at 16 years old in long term care. She worked as a trainee, then certified nurse's aide until she became a certified medication aide. Anna retired from long term care after 30 years. She had her pride and joy in 1987 when her twins arrived. She married Randy Lauber in 1988. The marriage ended in divorce. Her hobbies were crossword puzzles, word searches, and needle point. She loved to collect Indian statues. She obtained her GED in 2000. She was awarded CNA of the year in 2000. The only event in Anna's life that came close to the pride and joy of her own children was becoming a grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Eldon, two sisters Mary and Judy, and two granddaughters. Survivors include her children Tyler Shafer of Parker and Whitney Shafer of Augusta, Kansas; 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and 5 grandchildren Morgan, Ace, Mattie, Boyd, and Alijah, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Cremation. The family is planning a private service at a later date. Family and friends are encouraged to post their condolences and memories on Anna’s Tribute Wall.
