Anna Margaret Kraxner age 89 passed away Thursday June 30 at the North Point Care Center. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Holy Trinity Parish School. Margaret as she was known was born on Nov. 29, 1921 in Kansas City, Kansas to Walter Emory and Mayme Brown Smith. She grew up in the Rosedale area where she attended Shawnee Mission Rural High School. She was united in marriage to John Francis Kraxner in Kansas City. She was the Bank Finance Manager for Rosedale State Bank for 25 years before retiring. Margaret and her husband lived in Kansas City then moved to the Paola area in 1984. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Margaret enjoyed quilting and belonged to the Holy Trinity Church Quilting Club. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening " especially growing day lilies, playing and watching golf, and putting together puzzles. Margaret liked to travel and loved attending the Senior Center of Paola. Survivors are granddaughter Debbie McGhee of Blue Springs, MO; grandson David Kraxner of Shawnee, KS; grandson Vernon Kraxner of Nortonville, KS; granddaughter Rebecca Kendall of Lansing, KS; nephew and care giver Gene Farmer of Paola, KS; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many great and great great grand grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents ,husband, son David Kraxner, sister-in-laws Dorothy Baker and Irene Smith, two sisters Leona and Thelma Farmer, and two brothers George and Woodrow Smith.
