Andrea (Watrous) Armstrong, 47, formerly of Louisburg, Kansas, left this world unexpectedly on April 19, 2025, in Overland Park, Kansas.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 2, 2025, at Dengel & Son Mortuary - Louisburg Chapel, 1 Aquatic Drive, Louisburg, Kansas 66053. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm.
She was born on July 20, 1977, in Paola, Kansas, the daughter of David and Arlene (Peoples) Watrous.
Andrea was a vibrant spirit whose laughter could fill any room and whose love for her family and friends knew no bounds. She graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1995 and continued her education at Johnson County Community College, where she earned an associate degree. Later, Andrea would take on a significant role in her career, dedicating many years to Cobra Insurance as the Director of Implementation. Known for her exceptional skills, she left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the industry.
A devoted mother, Andrea cherished her time spent with her children—Courtney, Christian, and Uriah. Everyone knew her as a fun, loving, and outgoing spirit. Andrea's passion for family was evident in everything she did; she reveled in playing board games like Monopoly and enjoyed watching and quoting movies. She often took pleasure in riding her scooter, creating moments of joy that will forever echo in the hearts of those she loved.
She is survived by her three children, Courtney (Darrin) Ackermann, Christian (Jan Sullins) Goben, and Uriah (Hailey Hawn) Cain, mother, Arlene Watrous, as well as siblings Matthew (Misty) Watrous, Heather (Mike) Kelley, Kendra Prettyman, Brianna (Justin) Watrous Rusow, and Joseph Watrous, and spouse, Dan Armstrong. She also held a special place in her heart for her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Though the grief of their loss will be profound, they will always carry with them fond memories of a soul who was ready to support them through anything and who truly lit up their lives.
Andrea was preceded in death by her father, David Watrous, her infant grandson, Dean Ackermann, and her infant grandniece, Paisley Watrous Lindsay. Although they may no longer walk this earth, their spirits will forever intertwine with Andrea's, guiding her family as they navigate their sorrow and celebrate her beautiful life.
Andrea leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will continue to inspire all who were privileged to know her. She will be dearly missed but remembered fondly, as her light shines on in our hearts and memories.
