Alyssia Shantel Vantrece

Alyssia Shantel VanTrece, infant daughter of Skylar VanTrece and Emily Ludes entered this world on November 19, 2020. Alyssia was released to heaven on November 22, 2020 at Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. At 28 weeks gestation, it was discovered that Alyssia had some life-threatening complications that would affect her after birth. Over the next 6 weeks, Emily and Skylar learned that Alyssia was suffering from seizures, had a curved spine, water around her lungs, fluid on her heart, and a clubbed foot. She had to be taken by emergency c-section 6 weeks early when her heart rate began to drop. Alyssia was born not breathing and had to be placed on a ventilator. She passed away peacefully in her parents’ loving arms 3 days later. Though her life was short, she will forever be loved and missed by many. Survivors include her parents Skylar VanTrece and Emily Ludes; siblings Jayden, Davonte, Ski'lyn, Skylar, Vincent, and Jackson; paternal grandparents Jackson VanTrece, II and Rhonda Holmes; maternal grandmother Sandra Arens; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
