Alma Frances Mock died on September 25, 2004, at the Olathe Good Samaritan Center. Alma, a life-long resident of Franklin County, was born near Rantoul on December 29, 1914. She was the fourth of six children born to Zelma May (Powers) and Jesse E. Ball. She graduated from Rantoul High School and in 1935 married Joseph Raymond Mock of Imes, KS. They made their home in the Imes and Rantoul area until moving in 1952 to their own farm near LeLoup. Mrs. Mock was an active member of the Tauy Baptist Church where she played the piano for nearly a half century. She was also a 4-H leader with Full-O-Pep for over 20 years. Mr. Mock died in 2002. She is survived by her two daughters, Dawney Kay Falley, of Topeka and Karen Sue Kelsey of Prairie Village. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Christina Lyn Falley, Lafayette, IN; Christopher David Kelsey, Roslyn and Seattle, WA; and Elizabeth Anne Kelsey, Baton Rouge, LA. She was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Emma and Logan Falley, Lafayette, IN. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at Tauy Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Dr. Charles Anderson. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Mock at Dengel & Son Mortuary from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, where the family will meet with friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
