Alma B. Sinclair, age 96, of Louisburg, Kansas, died at the Louisburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, July 17, 2016, and went to be with her Lord and Savior. Alma was born on the family farm in the Block community on May 27, 1920, the youngest of eight children born to John and Lena (Kettler) Ohlmeier. She attended the Block Trinity Lutheran School. She was united in marriage to Harold Sinclair on February 9, 1941. They made their first home on the Ohlmeier family farm near Block and moved to Osawatomie in 1950. Alma was a homemaker, worked as a cook for the Paola First Lutheran School and Unified School District 368 until retiring. She was a very active member of the First Lutheran Church in Paola, teaching Sunday School for many years. She was also a member of the Lutheran Women"s Missionary League, the Lutheran Braille Workers, Mary Martha Circle, and Ladies" Quilting Group. She enjoyed quilting, tacking comforts for missions, gardening, and cooking. Many were recipients of her bread and cinnamon rolls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, who died in November 1965. She was also preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings: Maggie Rentz, Ernie Ohlmeier, Albert Ohlmeier, Edna Wallace, Elmer Ohlmeier, Hulda Miller and Mable Sinclair; and her son-in-law, Layne Brase. She is survived by her sons, Wilford Sinclair (Trean) of Osawatomie and Ken Sinclair (Liz) of Rosenberg, TX; daughters, Lois Rausch (Vernon) of Louisburg and Alice Brase of Good Thunder, MN; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice, or the Lutheran Heritage Foundation.
