Alice Louise England, 103, of Ottawa, KS, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Rock Creek of Ottawa. Cremation is planned with a graveside service to be held later at Evergreen Mound Cemetery, Ottawa. Alice was born October 20, 1918, in Shawnee, KS, the daughter of Laurence and Kathrine (Sauter) Provost. She lived in Shawnee, KS until 1946, moving to Ottawa where she lived until 1985, and then moved to McAllen, TX. In 1997, Alice moved to Bentonville, AR until 2014 when she returned to Ottawa. She graduated from Shawnee Mission High School of rural Shawnee Mission, KS. She was a member of the National Honor Society and attended Junior College in Kansas City, KS. In 1938, Alice was united in marriage to John W. “J.W.” England, III. He preceded her in death in 2004. Alice was a devoted homemaker and mother of four children. She was a member of the Baxter Social Club and worked at King Radio both in Ottawa. Survivors include four children, Don England of Las Vegas, NV, Bonnie Berkihiser (Don) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Nancy VanSickle (Jim) of Lane, KS, and Carol Mooney (Jerry) of Greeley, KS; two granddaughters, Barbara Wilks and Diane Brooks (Scott); seven great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
