Aldia K. Manna

Aldia K. Manna, age 71, of Baldwin City, Kansas, formerly of Pomona, died Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kansas. She was born on Tuesday, January 30, 1940, in Hoxie, Kansas, the daughter of Melvin Joseph Pearson and Mildred “Mid” (Duncanson) Lofton. She was a near lifelong Pomona resident, moving to Baldwin City, Kansas in 2008. Aldia attended schools in Hoxie and Emporia, Kansas. She was a homemaker. Aldia served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1966. Aldia enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to music, and dancing. On Friday, December 10, 1971, Aldia was united in marriage with Joseph Anthony Manna in Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2009. She is survived by her: Daughter-Toni Jolene Blodgett of Ottawa, Kansas; Son-Darrin D. Manna of Overland Park, Kansas and Son-Joel Bradshaw of Washington, D.C.. She is preceded in death by her: Husband-Joseph Anthony Manna; Father-Melvin Joseph Pearson; Mother-Mildred “Mid” (Duncanson) Lofton; Stepfather-James H. “Red” Lofton; Son-in-law-Amos Blodgett and an Infant sister-Carol Ann Pearson. SERVICES: Memorial Services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. IN STATE: Cremation is planned.
