Albert M. Presnal

Albert J. Presnal, 77, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Sacred Heart Church. A rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Sacred Heart, followed by a family and friends visitation at 7:00 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas. Military honors will be provided by the Ottawa VFW Post 5901. Albert was born Monday, August 16, 1937, in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania, the son of Michael and Mary (Wojciechowski) Presnal. He lived in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania for thirty-three years moving in 2008 to Ottawa. He graduated from Newportrait High School, Newport, Pennsylvania with the class of 1955. Albert served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1975. Albert was united in marriage with Eletheir Nicholson September 29, 1959, in Topeka, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his two children, Michael Presnal and wife Julie of Luzerne, Pennsylvania, and Regina Presnal of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Jean Zula of Durham, North Carolina, and Carol Stashik of California; eighteen nieces and nephews; eighteen great nieces and nephews; and fifteen great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. He retired from the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic and later worked for a salvage yard in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, as a crane operator.
