Aileen Fay Woodward, age 89, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010. She was born on Tuesday, November 9, 1920, in Ottawa, Kansas. She was the daughter of Harry O. and Hazel F. (Crouse) Hough. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident. Aileen graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1938. She was a homemaker and worked as Ottawa Youth Center Director for eight years. She was a member of North Baptist Church of Ottawa and Modernettes Extension Homemaker’s Unit. On Monday, November 9, 1942, Aileen was united in marriage with Donald E. Woodward in Ottawa, Kansas. He survives of their home. She is survived by her: Husband-Donald E. Woodward of their home; Son-Dan A. Woodward and his wife, Nikki, of Topeka, Kansas; Son-Martin L. Woodward and his wife, Sheryl, of Ottawa, Kansas; Grandson-Shanon Woodward; Granddaughter-Teri Woodward; Great-Grandchildren-Eight. She is preceded in death by her: Father-Harry O. Hough; Mother-Hazel F. (Crouse) Hough; Sister-Wilma May Bristow. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2010. IN STATE: Mrs. Woodward will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7:00 to 8:00 Wednesday evening.
