Agnes May Jordan, 95, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Family will meet with friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Agnes was born August 14, 1925, at Florissant, Colorado, the last surviving daughter of George Peter and Mary Pearl (Shell) Leckenby. She lived in Pomona, Kansas for many years, moving to Williamsburg in 1996. Agnes was united in marriage to Virgil “Shorty” Jordan March 8, 1940, at Colorado Springs, Colorado. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1994, after 54 years of marriage. She was a devoted lifelong homemaker and loved to cook, fish, and spend time with her family, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. Agnes was also preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Andrew, Larry, and Michael and his wife Kathy; 4 brothers, Leroy Leckenby, Calvin Leckenby, Arvey Leckenby, and George Leckenby; and 4 sisters, Josephine Friend, Louise Buffmac, Cora Stroud, and Marie Layman. Survivors include 4 children, Joyce White of McGreggor, Minnesota, Linda Curtis of Edgerton, Lisa Morgan of Ottawa, and Perry Jordan of Williamsburg; and 13 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
