Adrienne Brown, 53, of Lawrence, KS, died Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a 10-year battle with multiple myeloma. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Adrienne was born March 4, 1968, in Bronx, NY, the daughter of Ernest and Vanda (Covelli) Brown. She lived in Lawrence since 2011, moving here from Bel Air, MD where she lived 12 years and previously lived in several Kansas locations. She graduated from Coldwater High School, Coldwater, KS, with the Class of 1986. Adrienne continued her education at Kansas State University graduating in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. She was a lifelong artist. Adrienne enjoyed playing with her dogs, Gracie Mae and Chloe June, gardening, cooking, reading human interest stories, movies, history, remodeling, and kayaking. She was preceded in death by her father Ernest Brown, and sister, Judy Brown. Survivors include her longtime partner of 27 years, Carla Wiederholt of Lawrence; mother Vanda Brown of Manassas, VA; six siblings, John Brown of Washington, DC, Michael Brown of Wichita, KS, Kathy Brown (Vinny) of Cortlandt Manor, NY; Anne Brown of Lebanon, MO, Laura Garcia (Johnny) of Olympia, WA, and Vanda Johnson (Todd) of Manassas, VA; many nieces, nephews, and uncle Orazio and aunt Genevieve Covelli.
