Adelaide Herline Masenthin, 77, of Paola, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Olathe Medical Center. She was born Thursday, May 15, 1941, in Louisburg, KS, the daughter of Buster Murton and Nellie (Brewer) McCoy. She was the fifth of their six children. She grew up in Paola and attended school in Paola. Addie was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Masenthin on August 17, 2001, in Paola, KS. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Paola. She was also a life member of the VFW and a member of the Paola Fraternal Order of Eagles where she had served as state president. Survivors include her husband Bob of the home; sister Nellie Louise Brandt of Paola; son Richard Brandt of Broken Arrow, OK; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Robert and Rollin Brandt, and her daughter Christy Brandt. Her hobbies included seasonal and holiday decorating, making floral arrangements, quilting, sewing, and crocheting. She loved being outdoors.
