Adam Jerome Papst passed away September 1, 2012 from a sudden heart attack at the young age of 36 while at his home in Paola, Kansas. Adam was born September 30, 1975, the son of Douglas and Marsha Keeton Papst. He graduated from Louisburg High School in 1994. He has worked for Ron Weers Construction as a heavy equipment operator for the last 18 years. Adam was an extraordinarily ornery guy who was full of life and always able to make you smile. Everyone has a heartwarming story to share about him. He is an amazing father, partner, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, and the list goes on and on. In his spare time he was always found at the Papst Pond that he and his father built or spending time with his girls. He is always good for a laugh and a smile. Louisburg might be a little quieter but Heaven will be a little louder. Adam was incredibly proud of his two daughters, Riley Papst, 10 years old and Hope Papst, 4 years old. Other surviving family members include his partner of 9 years, Stacey Welch, his parents, Douglas and Marsha Papst, his sister, Kim Trageser and her family Ted Trageser, Bradley and Britney, Grandmothers Elizabeth Papst and Virginia Keeton and other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family. Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Earl Papst and Harley Keeton, and his loyal dog, Dexter. Memorial donations may be made to the Papst Trust dedicated to his two daughters set up at First National Bank c/o Papst Trust 1201 West Amity Louisburg, Kansas 66053.
