Aaron Kelsey, 60, Richmond, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa. He was born Oct. 6, 1945, to Joseph Steligo and Cora Kelsey at Bronx, N.Y. Aaron has lived in Richmond since 1985. He moved to the midwest from New York in 1976. He also lived in Wellsville, Olathe and Kansas City, Kansas. Aaron attended Binghamton (New York) High School. For thirty years, Aaron worked in construction and was very proud to be a Union member. Aaron served in the United States Army as a Medical Specialist during the Vietnam War. He was a member of 7th Day Adventist Church of Ottawa, and Local Union # 1290, Kansas City, Kansas. On November 19, 1979, Aaron was united in marriage with Lynn Riegel in Colorado. She survives of their home. Survivors also include four daughters, Dr. Lori and husband Bradley Sakaguchi, Waipahu, Hawaii, Lisa and James Dutton, Mount Bethel, Pa., Dawn Daley, Binghamton, and Jade Marie Kelsey, of the home; two sons, Aaron Thomas and wife Lora Kelsey, Springfield, Ill., and Cole Aaron Kelsey, of the home; three sisters, Patricia and husband Michael Paulo, Rochester, N.Y., Cora Chase, Savannah, Ga., and Virginia Chase, Colony; two brothers, Stanley and wife Jean Chase, Binghamton, and K. Lewis and Laura Chase, Endicott, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Steligo; mother, Cora Kelsey; and two grandsons, Tariq Abdullah and John R. Klenchik. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, with military honors by Ft. Riley Honor Guard. Cremation is planned following services. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Kelsey after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday to the service hour at Dengel & Son Mortuary. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to 7th Day Adventist Church, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
