Aaron Brant Kichler was born on Thursday, July 30, 1987, in Ottawa, Kansas. He was the son of Dennis and Pamela (Whitehead) Kichler. A lifelong resident, Aaron made his home in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas, until his death on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at the age of twenty-one years. Aaron graduated from Covenant Christian Academy of Ottawa in 2004. In May of 2009, he graduated from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, with a Degree of Electrical Technology. Aaron’s first job was at Smokey’s Barbecue, Wellsville, Kansas. He worked ten years in his family’s business, Family Time Pools and Spas of Ottawa. In 2007 and 2008, he was employed by Poly-Tron Manufacturing of Pittsburg, Kansas, working in fabrication. In 2008, he was employed by Colbern Electric of Ottawa and in 2009, he was employed by Welsh Security and Canine Services of Kansas City, Missouri. Aaron attended Wellsville Family Worship Center in Wellsville, Kansas. At a young age, he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. Aaron was unselfish, compassionate, and fun-loving with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved making Mom laugh! He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting and riding his motorcycle. He looked forward to their family gatherings, loved eating wedding cake and cookies, and always had his favorite beverage, coca cola, in his hand. He was also a pet lover who greatly enjoyed the companionship of his white Chihuahua, “Petra.” He is survived by his parents, of the home; brother, Adam Brent Kichler of Ottawa; sister, Charity Dawn Fisher and her husband, Jeffery, of Leawood, Kansas; paternal grandfather, Martin Kichler of Girard, Kansas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at Wellsville Baptist Church, 2nd & Main, Wellsville, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009. IN STATE: Family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Wednesday evening at Wellsville Baptist Church in Wellsville, Kansas. CEMETERY: Maple Hill Cemetery, 2301 S. 34th St., Kansas City, Kansas.
