Vista Marie Hanson

Vista Marie Hanson, 77, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, at her home in Ottawa, Kansas. Family will meet with friends at 9:30 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2015, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the mortuary. Interment Hope Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. Vista was born Monday, January 11, 1937 in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Marvin and Bertha Marie (Guinn) Jones. She lived most of her life in Ottawa except for fifteen years living in California. Vista graduated from high school in California. She was a homemaker and worked over the years as a janitor at the North American Hotel, the Ottawa Nursery, Ottawa Middle School and Calvary Baptist Church. Vista was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Jolly 60’s Club. Vista was united in marriage with Frank W. Hanson February 25, 1966 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death June 4, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert H. Jones. Survivors include her sister, June E. McCoy and husband Joseph of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews.
