Vina F. Hensley, 61, of Ottawa, Kansas passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at her home. Cremation is planned. Memorial service will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 24, 2013. Family will meet with friends following services. Her cremains will later be scattered in Leavenworth, Kansas and Mountain Home, Arkansas. Vina was born on Saturday, July 26, 1952 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was the daughter of J. C. and Vernita Hensley. A native resident, Vina lived in Kansas City, Kansas, moving to Ottawa in 2008. Survivors include two children, James Degraffenreid and wife Lanie Anderson of Princeton, Kansas, and Tonya Montoya and husband J. J. Hernandez of Ottawa; three sisters, Sharrel Snider of Osage City, Kansas, Diane Burriss and husband Mike of Warsaw, Missouri, and Beverly Hall and husband Jim of Kansas City, Kansas; brother, Benjamin Hensley of Mountain Home, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Kassandra Montoya, Jenassa Reyes, Frankie Hernandez, James & Mark Degraffenreid, Tanner Rocha and Blake, Jacob and Devin Anderson; two great grandchildren, Serenity & Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews. Vina was preceded in death by her parents, J. C. and Vernita Hensley; Babe, the love of her life; and nephew, Jeffry Banks. She is eternally loved and will be greatly missed.
