Vicky Louise Merimee

Vicky Louise Merimee, 79, of Gardner, formerly of Paola, passed away on October 25, 2023 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Olathe, Kansas.

She was born on July 17, 1944 to George and Jennie (Ricketts) Chambers at Iola, KS. She grew up in Paola and graduated from Paola High School.

Vicky worked as a shipping clerk for Russell Hampton Company, retiring from there in 2015.

She enjoyed reading books, listening to music (especially Rod Stewart), playing bingo, gardening, and sewing.

Vicky is survived by her loving daughter Shelly Hall (Wayne) of Edgerton; grandson Jesse Dahlin (Alyssa) of Gardner; one great-grandson Jacob Lee Dahlin; two great-granddaughters Morgan Rene Sue Dahlin and Macelyn Jo Louise Dahlin; one brother Richard Chambers (Peggy) of Parker; three nephews Shane, Wes, and Wade Chambers; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father George Lee Chambers, mother Jennie Lucille Chambers, and her brother Robert Chambers.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation being held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Dengel and Son Mortuary, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, KS, 66071. Burial will be in the Osawatomie Cemetery.
