Velma E. Meek

Velma Elizabeth Meek, age 92, of Lee"s Summit, Mo., passed away on December 14, 2008 at John Knox Care Center, Lee"s Summit, Missouri. She was born on December. 18, 1915, the daughter of Lucas Lee and Cora Moore Hink. She was united in marriage to Samuel Alva Meek on December. 24, 1936 in Kansas City, Mo. Velma attended the Miami County District # 104 Emerson School, Miami County, Kansas graduating on June 6, 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel on June 8, 1965, her daughter, Gwyen Condra, and son-in-law, Curt Condra; her parents, 1 grandson, Ronald Alan Meek, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include 1 son, A. Wayne Meek and wife Freida, Olathe, Ks; 1 brother, Everett Hink and wife Virginia, Louisburg, Ks; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday December 20, 2008 at Penwell " Gabel Louisburg Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2008 from 6: 00 " 8:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow at Louisburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request"s memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House
