Troy Dewayne Sprinkle

Troy DeWayne Sprinkle, 51, of Wellsville, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home Friday at 9:46 pm on October 20, 2023.

Services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church, Ottawa, Kansas.

Family will greet friends 5:30 – 7:30 pm, Friday, October 27, 2023, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.

Interment Wellsville Cemetery, Wellsville, Kansas.

Troy was born Wednesday, November 3, 1971 in Macomb, Illinois, the son of Gerald and Janet (Aten) Sprinkle.

He grew up in the Industry, Illinois area before moving to Kansas. Troy moved from Olathe in 2008 to Wellsville, Kansas where he resided until his death.

Troy graduated from Industry High School with the class of 1989. Troy excelled in all sports but loved playing baseball the most, as a pitcher & catcher.

Troy's dream career growing up was law enforcement and in 2002, he graduated from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center in Hutchinson, Kansas with certification class #168.

He was united in marriage on August 30, 2008, in Shawnee, Kansas to Susanne Bukowsky. She survives of the home.

Troy was employed with the Franklin County Sherriff Department from 2005 to present. During his employment, he served with the patrol department; a school resource officer for Wellsville School. Troy served in the jail and court security. Troy’s most recent assignment; the offender registration department. Troy loved his job & was so proud to be a Deputy. Troy served loyally & with honor.

Troy was a member of the Charis Church in Shawnee, Kansas. It has been here at Charis Church that Troy’s faith & personal friendship with Jesus has flourished & deepened.

Troy enjoyed farming row crops and hay, hunting, fishing, animals, horseback riding, Dallas Cowboy football, and the Andy Griffith show. He especially loved time spent with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Sprinkle whom he loved & missed very much.

Survivors include wife Susanne; mother Janet Sprinkle of Industry, Illinois; two daughters Chesney Sprinkle of Batesville, Arkansas and Alexis Holt of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and two brothers Tim Sprinkle (Dawn) of Plymouth, Illinois and Todd Sprinkle of Clarksville, Tennessee.
