Sue Skoog, 77, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 12, 2014, at First Baptist Church. Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Skoog from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Interment Highland Cemetery, Osage County, Kansas. Sue was born Saturday, February 13, 1937 in Ottawa, the daughter of Rolla and Dorothy (Childress) Hagerty. She was a longtime Ottawa resident also lived in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1955. Sue was united in marriage with Richard Otto Skoog June 9, 1965 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, June Wood. Survivors include her two children, Amy C. Ingram and husband Joe of Savannah, Missouri, and Otto Skoog and wife Krista of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Hannah and Sarah Ingram, and Gabriel and Kyra Skoog; four sisters, Jane Craig of Grand Junction, Colorado, Anadell Potts of Leavenworth, Kansas, Sandy Fraser and husband Sid of Omaha, Nebraska, and Kathy Goddard and husband John of Ophelia, Virginia. Sue was first and foremost a loving and devoted homemaker. She worked as a legal secretary while living in Dallas and also helped her husband, Dick, at his law office. While in high school she was employed by Drake’s Bakery. She was a member of the P.E.O., Ransom Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Grace Episcopal Thrift Store, and Entre Nous.
