Shirley M. Garrett, 85, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, Richmond Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Richmond, Kansas.

Private family inurnment later in Arizona.

Shirley was born March 17, 1938, in Ottawa, the daughter of Kendall and Frances (Lilly) Lucas.

She lived in Ottawa since May 2023 moving here from Showlow, Arizona where she lived for many years.

Shirley was united in marriage to Robert Garrett. He preceded her in death.

She was employed for many years as a bartender and waitress.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James Lucas and Kendell Lucas and sister, Janet Wallage.

Survivors include her brothers, William Lucas and Charles Lucas (Amanda) of Ottawa; sister, Doris Bridges (Bud); nieces, Debbie Bridges, Sandy Crawford (Jack), Donna Layton (Steve) and Tammy Bishop (Randy); nephews, Brian Bridges, Kevin Bridges (Dana), Charles Lucas, Jr. and Billy Lucas (Debra).

Shirley enjoyed traveling and attending gun shows with her husband Robert.
