Sally Ann McGonigle, 74, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
Family will greet friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas.
Sally was born Thursday, February 23, 1950 in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Max and Roberta (Hunter) Bechtle.
She lived in Vernon Hills, Illinois before moving to Ottawa in 1985, where she made her home until her death.
Sally graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1969.
She was united in marriage on May 30, 1986, in Ottawa, Kansas, to Garry McGonigle. He survives of the home.
Sally worked for Merle Norman after high school before becoming a TWA flight attendant in the early 1970s. She also worked in the Franklin County Treasurer’s Office in the early1990s for six years.
She was a former member of Grace Episcopal Church in Ottawa.
Sally showed her artistic skills in her younger years by painting and later in life enjoyed water aerobics. She was a very kind and accepting person who liked nature, traveling, and wildlife. Sally enjoyed the company of her pet dogs Todd and Bear and talking on the telephone with her best friend Pat Young, but she especially loved her family and husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents Max and Roberta.
Along with her husband Garry, survivors include son Micah Seiff (Melissa) of Ottawa, Kansas; daughter Mollie Seiff of Cherryvale, Kansas; brother Robert “Bob” Bechtle of Newton, Kansas; and two grandchildren Anadora Seiff and Sophia Hayden.
