Ronald Paul Valdiviez

Ronald “Ron” Paul Valdiviez, 62, of Rantoul, KS, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Freeman Health Center, Joplin, MO, surrounded by his loved ones. Family will meet with friends from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday, April 4, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 P.M. Ron was born on September 17, 1959. He was born in Athens Greece where his dad was stationed in the Air Force. With Ron's dad being in the Air Force, he lived in various locations throughout the United States. The Valdiviez family eventually settled in Kansas City, MO. Ron eventually made his home outside of Rantoul, KS. Recently he had been living in Joplin, MO. Ron worked hard his whole life. He worked for the Kansas City Chiefs during the 1980’s as security staff. He went on to work at National Envelope. The vast majority of his working life was as a member of the Elevator Constructor’s Local Union 12. Outside of work, it seemed Ron was still working. He was a member and President of the Franklin County Fair Board. He was also there for anyone who called. He would do whatever he could to help you, including taking the shirt off his own back. Ron is survived by Lisa Valdiviez, the mother of his daughters. His son, Dustin Wileman (mother Sandi Wileman Peterson) and grandson Tyler Wileman. His daughters, Heather and Hailey Valdiviez and his fur granddaughter Queenie. His brothers, Robert “Bob” Valdiviez (Faye), Rich Valdiviez (Missie). As well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his father Cuahtemoc Valdiviez, mother Bogdona Valdiviez, sister Reina “Sue” Valdiviez, brother Pete Valdiviez, sister-in-law, Arlene Valdiviez, and nephew Nathan Valdiviez.
