Roger W. Phillips

Roger W. Phillips, 63, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Cremation is planned. A private family service will be held later with burial at Highland Cemetery. Roger was born September 2, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Warren Dale and Patricia (Blair) Phillips. He graduated from De Soto High School with the class of 1974. Roger has lived in Ottawa for approximately 28 years. On August 17, 2005 Roger was united in marriage to Saundra (Dent) Miles at Ottawa. They were happily married for nearly 15 years. Roger was a self-employed fiber optic consultant. Survivors include his wife Saundra of the home; mother, Patricia Phillips of Ottawa; and two brothers, Richard Phillips of Ottawa, and James Phillips and wife Elizabeth of Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Phillips and sister, Karen Phillips.
