Paul Thommen, age 54 of Ottawa, Kansas, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at his residence in Ottawa. He was born on Thursday, December 22, 1954 in Olathe, Kansas, the son of Chester and Laura Thommen. Paul has been a resident of Ottawa for over twenty years. As an adult Paul worked within the construction field achieving success with several Kansas City Metro companies, most recently working for Bar-T Contracting, L.L.C. Aside from his family, Paul’s passion was his Franklin County property where he enjoyed spending time fishing. Paul had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Paul is survived by his mother and stepfather Laura and Carl Kent of Linn Valley KS; two daughters, Tina and her husband David Brombaugh of Fairfield Iowa, Lindsay Thommen; nine siblings, David Thommen of Topeka, KS. , Donna Skinner of Bay St. Louis Ms, Nicki Pierce of Lenexa, KS., Ramona Riley of Spring Hill, KS., Vernon Scrivner of Linn Valley, KS, Bradley Scrivner of Hillsdale, KS., Laura Tkach, Yvonne Batley, and Brenda Pruitt of Colorado; and six grandchildren. “Uncle Paul” is also survived by a host of nephews and nieces. He leaves behind his constant and loyal companion, Cheyenne. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Lisa Thommen; his father Chester Thommen; stepmother, Carol; and his nephew, Solomon Kent. SERVICES: Mr. Thommen has been cremated. Private family memorial services will be held.
